Akwa Ibom State Government has banned all forms of trafficking of children from the state to other parts of the country to serve as house-helps or cheap labour of any form. The State Deputy Governor said the measure was to check the high rate of child trafficking in the state and that government will henceforth deal drastically with parents who promote trafficking in children. |
