| Long Abstract: |
The handbook is designed primarly for the use of research practitioners who may have little or no experience of conducting reserach on the worst form of child labour, including trafficking, in children. The aim is to bring in one easy to use book, all the information needed for action oriented research. The handbook is particularly relevant and useful to generate accurate data and information to be use as a base in child labour and trafficking programming. Part I is an introduction to the handbook explaining objectives and target of the publication. Part II provides essential information about how to conduct effective, action oriented research, using a children-centred approach. It shows that action oroented reserach is a process carried out through a sequence of twelve logical steps. Part III consists in a toolkit which provides brief explpanation of methods in data collection, general comments on their use, ways of recording and tips from experience. A glossary is also contained. |
