| Long Abstract: |
"I wish that children who were trafficked across the border can return to their homes and go to school again," V.T.D - a victim of trafficking - told VOVNews in tears at a children forum in Hanoi from August 23-25. During the past years, the Party and State have given priority to caring for, protecting and educating Vietnamese children so that they live in a healthy and safe environment. However, the number of orphans, street children and law violators is increasing. The number of children forced into the sex trade and child labour abuse has increased considerably in recent years. Most of them were born into poor families or easily deceived by bad elements |
